Intensive Russian Attacks Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said energy workers and officials were anticipating more assaults.
