I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
